LEOMINSTER----Mary “Jackie“ (Carpenter) Walsh, 85 years old, of Leominster, formerly of Hudson, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She is survived by 3 daughters Martha Fournier and her husband Stephen of Hudson, Jacqueline Gardner of Worcester and Michaela Tervo and her husband William of Leominster, 3 sons Raymond J. Walsh and his wife Celine of Crofton, MD, Dennis Walsh and his wife Diane of Stow and Daniel Walsh and his wife Tamera of Leominster, a brother Fred Carpenter of Rockledge, FL, a sister-in-law Jean Carpenter of Hope Valley, RI, 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Raymond A. Walsh in 2011.
Mrs. Walsh was born November 5, 1926 in Attleboro, daughter of Grover B. and Marion (Vallett) Carpenter and had lived in Hudson and in Florida before moving to Leominster in 1996. She had worked at Lance Corp. in Hudson several years ago. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church in Leominster.
Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster is assisting the family with arrangements.
