LEOMINSTER---Judith Ann (Kumpu) Hussey, 72 years old of Leominster, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in UMass Memorial Medical Center-University campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 26 years Norman W. Hussey, daughters Wendy Muldoon of Fitchburg, Dawn Mei of Lynn, Tiffany Cordio and her husband Bruce of Leominster and Michelle LeBlanc of Massachusetts, sons Arthur Thiboutot of Boiling Springs, SC and Stephen LeBlanc and his wife Donna of Palmer, stepdaughters Bettina Johnson and her husband Ken of Tyngsboro and Dorothy Hussey of Lowell, 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Judy was born January 24, 1944 in Weymouth, daughter of William W. and Edith F. (Hawkins) Kumpu and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a devote Christian since childhood and gave back to the church by being a caring Sunday School teacher for many years. Judy also was a dedicated teacher at Living Stones Christian School in Lancaster. One of the most selfless, loving and compassionate women her family and friends have been privileged to know.
She was resilient and overcame many challenges that only made her stronger. These attributes shined as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family is extremely lucky and grateful to have been loved by her. She always went out of her way for her family with a smile and a song in her heart.
Judith’s grandchildren and great grandchildren brought a special joy to her life, she spoiled them with love and affection.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27th at 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday prior to the service from 10 - 11 am in the funeral home.
