Allan Esper

May 1, 1943 – January 17, 2017

Allan Esper passed away at 2:29 in the morning at Leominster Hospital. He died peacefully with his wife at his side.

Allan was born on May 1, 1943 to Edward & Anna (Lanotte) Esper. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy. He found his deepest purpose in being a father; loving, caring for, and guiding his children into the exceptional people they are today.

Allan is celebrated by friends and family members who strive to honor his legacy including his wife Patricia (Altomare) Esper of 52 years; their children, Kristin-Ann Osowski of California, Edward Esper & his wife Sharon of New Hampshire, and Julieann & her husband Todd Rainville of Wayland. His eldest son Allan Jr. predeceased him in 1970. He leaves behind his 5 siblings, Joanne (Esper) & David Walsh of Florida, Robert & Judy Esper of Beverly, Carol (Esper) & Richard Pickett of Worcester, Edward & Diane Esper of Worcester, and Cheryl Esper of Worcester. He leaves behind 7 amazing grandchildren.

Allan attended grade school at Belmont Street School, middle school at Burncoat Jr High, and high school at North High – all in Worcester. He graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. He owned and operated pharmacies in both Leominster and Fitchburg for over 40 years. He was a special individual with a contagious laugh and great sense of humor.

Allan’s family members are saddened by their loss but know that Allan is in their hearts, and in their souls. “He will be with us wherever we are, wherever we go, and whatever we do. He will be with us forever. Love never ends.”

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Allan’s life on Friday, January 20th, from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster. A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM in the funeral home. Burial is private.

I was so saddened to hear of Allan's passing. He was such a wonderful man who always radiated a positive light and unshakable strength of character. I was fortunate to have spent a bit of time with him on Christmas Eve where he was as gregarious and jovial as ever....in spite of the discomfort I'm sure he must have been feeling. Asking me about my life instead of complaining. I feel so very fortunate to have met this one in a million type of a human being....and true "tough guy". All of my best to you all, his family. May you carry with you the solemn PRIDE of having been so blessed with this lovely Man.
