Exodus 23:25 “Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you”.

Rene Rosario, theatre junkie, avid lacrosse player, and long time resident of Leominster, MA, died after a heroic 4-year battle of Leukemia on Sunday, July 30th, 2017, at the age of 21.

Rene has survived by his parents, Norma Leon (Baez), and Juan Carlos Leon, and his 4 siblings Sergio Rosario, Jonas Baez, Saide Leon, and Ethan Leon. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.

Rene was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on September 5, 1995. He graduated from Leominster High School in 2015 where he enjoyed playing lacrosse and being a part of the theater productions. Shortly after graduating from high school, Rene moved to Lehigh Acres, Florida.

Rene was a bright light to anyone that had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Even though he knew that his illness was terminal, he always had a smile on his face and wanted to make others around him happy. Whether it was helping the other patients that were also receiving chemo with him or being the comedian during stressful times, you could always count on Rene to put a smile on your face.

From those who wrote it best, from those that sang it until the very end, I will always love you.

· Motivating other people

· Wide variety of friends

· Theatre and Lacrosse

· Helping the other women with chemo

· Going to London when he was in remission

· Making light and making jokes when there are stressful times

· Say to mom when he was falling asleep

· Fought for so long and never had a drop of fear on him

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 10th from 4-7 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Rene would want you to dress casually, so please do so.
