No More Trips to Foxwood

Marion C. Celli has joined her husband, Tony Celli in the grandest golf club in the sky. At 95 years of age she was fortunate to go out of this world just the way she wanted, quickly and peacefully.

Marion lived most of her life in Leominster and was an avid golfer, until 78 years of age.She loved cards, bingo and Foxwood, where she was scheduled to be at the end of this month and she never missed an opportunity for a dinner out! She was the last of the “Greatest Generation, from the original Celli clan and Weiser family. She lived long past her four sisters, Elsie Smith, Esther Moran, Ruth Henell and Doris Rogers. Her baby boy, Tony Celli Jr. died at 3 days old in 1942.

Marion leaves her devoted daughter, Carol Racine, loving grandchildren and their compassionate, and patient, spouses; Debra Cuddahy and husband Tom Cuddahy; David Corliss and wife, Maria Corliss and one special great -grandson, Niko Corliss. She will be greatly missed by her longtime caregiver and friend, Cheryl Clem and many bingo friends at LaPierre East where Marion lived for many years.

Marion was a proud, headstrong, inquisitive woman of German decent who never lost her outspoken demeanor, up to the last moment of her life. She is already missed by those close to her. Gram, Auntie Marion, Big Gram, you will always bring a smile to our faces.

A funeral service for Marion will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11:30 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 10:00am - 11:30am. Burial will follow in St. Leos Cemetery, Leominster.
