William K. Johansson

LEOMINSTER --- William (Bill) K. Johansson, 62, of Leominster, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2024. He was born in Leominster Hospital, April 25, 1961, a son of Carl S. and Eleanor F. (Young) Johansson.

He is survived by his partner, Nancy Huckins; his mother, Eleanor F. Gamarsh of Gardner; siblings, Eric S. Johansson, Marcia E. Johansson, Ingrid R. Johansson. He was predeceased by his father, Carl S. Johansson and his stepfather H. Fred Gamarsh.

William graduated from Leominster High School in 1978; attended Mount Wachusett Community College, graduated in 2015 with a Certificate in Engineering. He was a member of Wilder Lodge of Masons, Leominster, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fitchburg, Vasa Order of America. He enjoyed the camaraderie of volunteering at the Scandinavian Athletic Club in Shrewsbury. William started working at his father’s business, City Delivery, Inc., in his youth. It quickly became his own passion. Bill loved working with his hands and had a creative mind, often thinking of new inventions to improve his field. He had a great love for his Swedish heritage, belonging to Vasa Order, and the Scandinavian Athletic Club where he volunteered. He thoroughly enjoyed Swedish dancing, going to festivals and having coffee with friends and family. He also had an interest in Archery. William had a strong sense of family and duty and showed this every day. He was a kind and compassionate soul, often giving his time and expertise to the people he loved and did it with a loving heart. Bill loved spending time walking with his dogs. He enjoyed helping his mom in her home and gardens. He often spent his time trying to make people around him smile and laugh with his charm and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral service for Bill will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11am at Richardson Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 10:00 ~ 11am.
