LEOMINSTER--Angelo J. Seretto, 89 years old of Leominster, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the LifeCare Center of Leominster. He is survived by his wife of nearly 69 years Helen M. (Rodriquenz) Seretto, son Michael A. Seretto and his wife Diane of Leominster, 4 grandchildren Alessandra Chryst and her husband James of Sandown, NH, Cristina Di Vito and her husband Peter of Leominster, Niccolo Seretto of Newton and Vincenzo Seretto of Fitchburg, and 2 great grandsons Lorenzo Di Vito and Camden Ayers. He was predeceased by his daughter Debra Ann Seretto in 1975, brother Dominic Seretto, Jr. in 1992 and sisters Carolyn Ann Watson in 2005 and Constance Otis Kineavy in 2009.
Angelo was born January 21, 1929 in Fitchburg, son of Dominic and Frances (Amell) Seretto and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Angelo had been a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Fitchburg for 31 years, before retiring in 1991. He then drove a school bus in Leominster and Fitchburg for 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster and the Central Mass Striders. Angelo was an avid runner and for years could be seen running alongside his son Mike.
Angelo’s funeral service will be held on Friday, February 2nd from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 1st from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.
