Bennett Fini Obituary

LEOMINSTER---Bennett E. Fini, 61 years old, of Leominster died unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, January 5, 2019. He is survived by his two sons, Benjamin W. Fini of Leominster and Andrew J. Fini and his wife Aracelis as well as their daughter Evelyn of Fort Drum, NY. He is also survived by his loving mother Barbara A. (Ricker) Fini of Leominster, two sisters Debra A. Padovano and her husband Hugo of Leominster and Donna M. Balletta of Leominster. He was a proud uncle to three nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his father Benito E. Fini in 2003 and his brother-in-law Anthony J. Balletta in 2004. Bennett was a genuine and caring man who was devoted to his family and friends.

Bennett was born in Leominster on January 12, 1957 and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1975 where he excelled at both academics and athletics. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1979 where he earned his degree as a Chemical Engineer. He pursued his career as an engineer with Boeing in Seattle, WA and locally at the former Digital Equipment Corporation. Most recently, he worked at his friend’s farm, where he enjoyed being outdoors and working with a variety of animals. Bennett was a man of strong faith who was a parishioner at St. Leo’s Church.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11 am in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
