LEOMINSTER---Edward B. Mullan, 92 years old of Leominster, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 in the Rose Monahan Hospice House, Worcester. He is survived by his two daughters Susan Marceau and her husband Brian of South Yarmouth and Debra Bailey and her husband Charles of Hubbardston, two step-daughters Kathleen Brow and her husband Edward of Leominster and Karen Barry of Leominster, a step-son Kevin Barry and his wife Victoria of South Burlington, VT, a brother Bernard Mullan of Fitchburg, a sister Arlene Logan of Fitchburg, three grandchildren Gregory Marceau, Brooke Tomlinson and Caitlin Normington, three step-grandchildren, Maura Barry, Joanna Brow and Anthony Brow, nine great grandchildren Seth Marceau, Emma Marceau, Ella Marceau, Zachary Hanks, Morgyn Hanks, Hunter Tomlinson, Isla Tomlinson, Olivia Normington and Joshua Normington and two step-great grandchildren Kieran Wyckoff and Julius Wyckoff. He was predeceased by his first wife Marilyn H. (Chapin) Mullan in 1975 and his second wife Jennie M. (Antonucci) Barry Mullan in 2015. He was also predeceased by brother John Mullan, sisters Lorraine Lolli, Patricia Harrington, Rita Deady and Geraldine Colcord, and by his granddaughter Heather Hanks.

Ed was born in Leominster on January 13, 1925 son of John E. and Agnes (Hurtubise) Mullan and was a life long resident. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1943 and was the Class President. He played football while at LHS. In the late 40's, he also played semi pro football for the Leominster Lions.

Ed received his teaching certification from Worcester Tech. He was a Licensed Electrician and taught at Montachusetts Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fitchburg for 20 years before retiring in 1987. Prior to that, he had worked at Bert Caron Electric in Fitchburg. Ed was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Leominster where he had been a warden and member of the vestry. He was a life member and former trustee of the Leominster Lodge of Elks.

Ed’s funeral will be held on Thursday, June 8th at 11 a.m. in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 60 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 9 to 10:30 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mark's Church General Fund.
