Joseph Monteverde, Jr.

LEOMINSTER---, Joseph Monteverde, Jr., 64 years old, of Leominster passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 28, 1954, son of Joseph and Aline (Gosselin) Monteverde.

Joseph graduated from Leominster High School in 1972. He had owned and operated with his brother Dan, the former Cornerstone Restaurant in Leominster. He was a member of the Leominster Eagles and enjoyed golfing and hiking.

Joseph leaves his daughter Amanda L. Monteverde and her boyfriend Richard Blanchflower of Leominster, a brother Daniel Monteverde and his wife Sylvia of Leominster, a sister Maria Ferrante and her husband Philip of Sterling and leaves a niece and several nephews. Joe also leaves many good friends that meant so much to him. His family would like to thank everyone of you for your true friendship and your support during this time. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Monteverde in 2013.

Joseph’s family would also like to thank everyone at the Highlands in Fitchburg for their care and support, especially the ones who became like family.

A burial service will be held on Saturday, August 18^th at 11:30 am in St. Leo‘s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 18^th from 9 - 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
