Joseph R. Pisowocki

FITCHBURG --- Joseph R. Pisowocki, 79 years old of Fitchburg, died Friday, July 14, 2017, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Joseph was born May 22, 1938 in Clinton MA, the son of Joseph J. and Katherine M. (Zielonka) Pisowocki. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Margaret A. (McNally) Pisowocki, 3 daughters, Cynthia Belliveau and husband Steven of Orange, Sharon Turcotte and husband Kevin of Winchendon, Susan Gagnon and husband Greg of Templeton, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jillian, Ryan, Wesley and Kelsey, 2 sisters, Elinor Haaker of Leominster and Dorothy Holloway of Athol, and many nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Mary Harnois and Joan Draleaus.

Joseph was a member of the former Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church in Fitchburg, he graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1956 and worked at ILCO in Fitchburg for 18 years, later going to work at Norton Company in Worcester for 20 years, retiring in 2001.He enjoyed watching football and baseball, especially the New England Patriots, and watching classical movies and shows. He loved his dogs Mandy, Buffy and Oreo, and his cat Pebbles.

Joseph’s funeral will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster, with a 10 am funeral mass in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St. Leominster. Burial will be private in St. John Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5pm 7pm.
