LEOMINSTER --- Joseph J. Raimo, 76 years old of Leominster, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital.
Joseph was born May 7, 1942 in Boston, the son of Joseph J. Raimo Sr, and Mary (Sancuk) Raimo, and came to Leominster many years ago. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Mary P. (O’Neil) Raimo, 2 sons, Christopher Raimo and wife Cheryl of Fitchburg, Peter Raimo and long time companion Michele of Gardner, daughter, Nicole Pantaleon and husband Epifanio of Leominster, 4 grandchildren, Michael, Alysha, Jessica and Ryan, his brother Michael Hutchinson of Tampa Florida, brother in law John Rogers of Leominster. And many nephews, nieces and their families.
Joseph was predeceased by his sister, Mary Alice Rogers in 2016.
Joseph along with his wife owned and operated the Dutch Kitchen Bake Shop in Fitchburg for 51 years. He was a member of St. Anthony di Padua Church in Fitchburg, was a member of the Mass Retail Bakers Association and the Retail Bakers of America. He enjoyed baking, working at his business (Dutch Kitchen Bake Shop), working in the yard, going on vacation, and spending time with his family.
Joseph’s funeral will be held on Thursday, January 24th , from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster, with a 12 pm funeral mass in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 am ~ 11 am.
