Larry Julian Obituary

LEOMINSTER----- Larry P. Julian, 74, of Leominster, MA, died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family on Monday, October 3, 2016.

Larry was born in Worcester, MA on September 3, 1942, to Vivian LaPlante Bruso and Harvey E. Julian and was the oldest of two children. He attended South High School (Worcester, MA) during the years 1958 – 1961. He did not graduate, but proudly completed his GED years later. He entered the US Navy from September 1961 to September 1964 and attained the rate of PT 3-E-4. He was honored to serve his country in photography intelligence and surveillance aboard the USS SHANGRI-LA. His military interest didn’t end at the conclusion of his service as he became a member of the 34th Virginia Calvary reenactment/competition for 12 years. Larry was employed for 30+ years as a line technician for Verizon (based out of Marlboro, MA), before retiring in Leominster, MA. He loved learning all he could about the history of the Civil War. He also loved building models of military vehicles and planes, reading history books, bird watching, spending time in nature, and drinking lots of coffee. He was gifted with a wildly generous spirit and was often found donating to multiple charities, causes, and individuals throughout his life. But of all the things he loved most, his daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren were at the top of his list; devoting and spending most of his time and energy loving on them. His parents preceded Larry in death. Those who survive Larry include his brother Philip (Jaqueline) Julian, his nephews Jarrett Julian and Tyler Julian, his daughter Michelle (Michael) Weston, his grandchildren Annaleigh Weston, John-David Weston, and Liam Weston, and Michelle’s mother Grace (Robert) Warpula, among many loving cousins, family and friends.
