Lucy Ciccolini Obituary

LEOMINSTER---On May 29, 2018, Lucy Ciccolini, 91, with her loving family by her side, passed from this life after a brief battle with cancer. Lucy was born on Feb. 1, 1927 in Leominster to Ottavio and Antonia (Marini) Angelini and lived in Leominster her entire life. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1945. Lucy worked as a telephone operator for A T & T from 1948 until her retirement in 1988. She also worked at Bay State Plastics and the Il Camino Restaurant, making their famous homemade raviolis for a number of years. Lucy was known for her exceptional handmade pastas and her wonderful Italian cookies, which she so generously shared with friends and family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, as evidenced by the admiration of her family, especially in her difficult final days. Not only did Lucy enjoy cooking for her family, but trips to Italy, Florida and the casino, listening to great music and dancing.

Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Rocco, who died in 1990. She leaves 3 children, Stephen S. Ciccolini, along with her dedicated caretaker, Donna M. Dubzinski, her husband, John Dubzinski, and Michael A. Ciccolini, all of Leominster; 7 Grandchildren, John Dubzinski Jr. and his wife, Allie, of Andover, Jane Dubzniski of Boston, Christopher Ciccolini of Needham, MA, Kimberly Ciccolini of Salem, MA; Katie Ciccolini Hernandez of New York, NY and her husband, Rafael Hernandez; Kristen Ciccolini and Diana Ciccolini of Boston and a sister, Mary Angelini of Leominster. She was also predeceased by 2 sisters, Hilda Rydzefski in 2001 and Yola Pantano in 2014.She also leaves her two beautiful Great Grandchildren, James and Anna Dubzinski, along with several nieces and nephews. Lucy also leaves her special lifelong friend, Margaret DiGeronimo, along with Connie Belliveau, Rena Picucci and Louise LaPrade.

Lucy leaves a legacy of generosity and love to her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster on, Monday, June 4 at 11 am. All guests are invited to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. At Lucy's request, there are no calling hours. Memorial Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or GVNA Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane Gardner, MA 01440, whom so kindly cared for her in her final days.
