Mariann Rosa Obituary

LEOMINSTER---Mariann (Conefrey) Rosa, 64 years old of Leominster, died Monday, April 16, 2018 in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Lindsay A. Rosa of Stoneham; stepsons Michael Rosa of Salem, NH and Stephen Burt of Montgomery Village, MD; sisters, Frances R. Moniz and her husband, Wayne of Tallahassee, FL, and Shirley A. Hudson and her husband, David of Uxbridge; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several grand-nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Rosa in 2003 and by her brothers, Charles M. Conefrey, Jr. and Robert H. Conefrey both in 2008.

Mariann was born on October 9, 1953 in Leominster, daughter of Charles M. and Gretchen (Holbrook) Conefrey, Sr. and was a life long resident. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1971, and received her Bachelors and Masters from Fitchburg State College. Mariann was a 1st grade teacher at Johnny Appleseed School in Leominster and had taught in the Leominster School System for many years. She was a past president of the Leominster Teacher‘s Union. Mariann was a member of St. Anna Parish in Leominster.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21st from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a Mass at 11 am in St. Anna Parish, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo‘s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 20th from 5-7 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611 or at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org
