LEOMINSTER--- Mary Rita (Salafia) Boyer, 90 years old, of Leominster died Friday December 15, 2017 in the Keystone Center in Leominster. She is survived by her daughter Robin Dantini and her husband Donald of Leominster, son Ronald Boyer and his wife Susan of Athol, son-in-law Donald Thibeau of Gardner, 3 brothers Robert Salafia of Gardner, Paul Salafia of Leominster and Raymond Salafia of Nebraska, sister Theresa Hare of Texas, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald E. Boyer in 1998, daughter Linda Thibeau in 2009 and by 10 brothers and sisters.
Mary was born in Leominster on September 12, 1927, daughter of Paul and Mary (Couture) Salafia and had lived here most of her life. She had worked at Mario’s Pants in Fitchburg for 15 years and then worked at Keystone Nursing Center in Leominster for several years. She then worked briefly as a hairdresser. She was a member of St. Leo’s Church and had been a member of TOPS.
Mary touched so many lives towards the end with her undying faith in Christ.
Mary’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19th from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 11 am in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 18th from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.
