LEOMINSTER---Phyllis M. (Litalien) Cornacchia, 81 years old, of Northborough, formerly of Leominster, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Beaumont Nursing Center in Northborough with family by her side. She is survived by two sons: Michael C. Cornacchia and his wife Mary of Westborough, and Anthony C. Cornacchia of Leominster; three grandchildren: Aria Niemierko and her husband Michal, Alexandra Cornacchia, and Joseph Cornacchia; and two great-grandchildren: Zosia Niemierko and Emilia Niemierko. She was predeceased by her husband Mario A. Cornacchia in 2010, son Chris J. Cornacchia in 2006, brother Bert Litalien, and sister Pauline D’Innocenzo.
Phyllis was born July 3, 1937 in Leominster, daughter of Bertram and Mabel (Goguen) Litalien and had lived in Leominster most of her life. She graduated from Leominster High School and had worked in the Leominster High School Cafeteria for several years. She also worked at the former W.E. Deli in Leominster. Phyllis was a member of St. Anna Parish. She enjoyed a game of poker (or bingo), usually had a colorful story to tell, and was rarely without her Werther's candies. Her love for phoning QVC ran deep — family members were often perplexed and amused by the number of packages showing up at her door. Her great-granddaughters lit up her life, and she always looked forward to visits with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be private.
