LEOMINSTER---Richard Farwell 65 years old, of Leominster, formerly of Claremont, NH, died unexpectedly in his home May 15, 2017. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Marie Mahanta and her husband Vikram of Waltham, brothers Peter Farwell and his wife Virginia of Mashpee and Douglas Farwell and his wife Jean of Leominster, granddaughter Vivian Mahanta of Waltham, and many loved nieces and nephews.
Richard was born June 12, 1951 in Fitchburg, son of Harold B. and Ruth S. (Hay) Farwell and had lived most of his youth in Leominster. He graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont, NH and from Becker Junior College in Worcester. Richard had worked in retail sales for many years. He was an avid candlepin bowler much of his life. The most important thing to him was always family and friends. He was most happy when he was with extended family and friends with the Red Sox on in the background.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19th at 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 to 11 am prior to the service in the funeral home.
