LEOMINSTER ---Robert (Bob) A. Bilodeau 78 of Leominster passed away on December 5th 2018, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.

Born November 11th 1940 in Leominster, the son of the late Ernest and Leontine (Rivard) Bilodeau. Bob was a lifelong Leominster resident and a 1960 graduate of Leominster High School.

Bob worked for many years at Victory Supermarket and later at CRIM Construction in Fitchburg until his retirement. Bob was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 107 and a member of the Franco American War Veterans where he ran Bingo for many years.

Bob was active for many years in Leominster Dek Hockey, as both a coach for his sons teams and as a player. Bob loved to garden and enjoyed many outdoor activities from fishing to mountain climbing. He loved to travel and was an avid reader. He could often be found reading a good book at Sholan Farms. Bob was a passionate fan of the Patriots, Redsox and Bruins and enjoyed watching games with his family. Bob was a generous and loving man who always put the needs of others above the needs of himself right up to the time of his death.

Bob leaves his former wife and close friend Maureen (Kelley) Bilodeau, who cared for him until his passing, his three sons Scott Bilodeau and his husband Michael Graves, Steven Bilodeau and Daniel Bilodeau, all of Leominster. He leaves his brother Richard Bilodeau of Collinsville Illinois, his sisters Marie Claire Rheault of Diamond Springs California, Rita Bilodeau of Florida, Bette Gagnon and her husband Bob of Nashua New Hampshire, Judy D'Innocenzo and her husband Lou of Stoughton Massachusetts and Linda Slaybaugh and her husband Don of Kalispell Montana, his sister-in-laws Beverly Gagliardi of Milford Connecticut and Mary Ellen Kelley of Fitchburg Ma and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear friends John and Joanne Petricca, Bonnie Hickey and James Dellechiaie, all of Leominster. He was predeceased by his sisters Gloria Aubut and Carol Hurtubise.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff on the fourth floor at Leominster Hospital and the Home Health and Hospice Program for their excellent care and guidance.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on December 15th 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home 106 West Street Leominster, MA 01453.
