Robert attended school in Headland, Alabama. He went on to Job Corps and also attended a Program called Inner City. Afterwards he worked at the Boston City Hospital and the V. A. Hospital for a number of years. Robert later moved to Fitchburg, Massachusetts and worked for Micron Medical Products. He also worked at MCM Furniture until he was injured on the job.

He was a loving husband and very supportive of his friends and family. Robert was affectionately known as “Unc“ by not only his nieces and nephews but also by many who lived and worked in his community. He loved to play and watch all types of sports. Robert was truly an animal lover who loved and enjoyed his dogs. His favorite hobby was lifting weights.
