LEOMINSTER--Ruth A. (Cutter) D’Onfro, 92 years old, of Southwick, formerly of Leominster, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She is survived by her son Ralph D. D’Onfro, Jr., and his wife Anita of Greenville, NH, 3 daughters Dawn D. Corkum and her husband Robert of Athol, Debra R. Burke of Gardner and Robin I. Gardner and her husband Bernie of Southwick, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph D. D’Onfro, Sr., in 2003, son David D. D’Onfro in 1959, brother Charles Cutter in 1999, sisters Vera Marino in 1991 and Alice Cutter in 1930 and son-in-law Walter J. Burke in 2001.
Ruth was born October 24, 1924 in Leominster, daughter of Colburn and Agnes (Benedict) Cutter and had lived in Leominster until moving to Southwick in 2001. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ in Leominster, was a member of the church’s Crystallites and with her husband founded the church’s Couples Club. Faith and family were two of the most important things in Ruth's life.
Ruth’s funeral service will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 10 am in the Congregational Church of Christ, 583 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 2nd from 2-4 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Congregational Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 583 Main Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
