Violet G. (Nilsson) Jablonski

LEOMINSTER----Violet G. (Nilsson) O’Brien Jablonski, 91 years old, formerly of Worcester, died Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Fitchburg Gardens. She is survived by her sons Robert F. O’Brien and his wife Aida of Leominster and Bruce E. O’Brien and his wife Laurie of Spencer, daughter Jean M. Thompson and her husband Gene of Orange Park, FL, brother George Nilsson of West Boylston, sisters Lillian Lambos of Worcester, Virginia Mason of Worcester, and Shirley Mondor of Auburn, 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 1^st husband Edward L. O’Brien in 1989 and her 2^nd husband Stanley Jablonski in 2000. She was also predeceased by her brother William Nelson and sisters Margaret Taylor and Barbara Dione.

Violet was born October 18, 1926 in Worcester, daughter of Conrad W. and Syster E. (Johanson) Nilsson and had lived in Worcester most of her life. She graduated from the former Fanning Trade School in Worcester and had worked as a seamstress at David Clark Company, Inc. in Worcester. Violet was a past president of the Emblem Club in Worcester. In 1979 Violet was presented the key to the City of Worcester by Mayor Thomas Early, in recognition for her service with the Worcester Emblem Club.

Violet’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 29^th at 10 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 28^th from 5-7 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice of Leominster, 36 William Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
