LEOMINSTER---Warren Gove passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, May 5th in his home. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Gummow Gove, his son Paul of Leominster and daughter Marcia Gove Bertalot of Beaverton, Oregon, and six grandchildren: Lauren Bertalot Linnell, Carrie Bertalot, Rob Bertalot, Dylan Bertalot, Emily Gove, and John Gove. Warren is predeceased by his brother, Donald Gove.

Warren was born in Cambridge, MA on September 3rd, 1931, a son of the late Clifford and Hazel Gove. He was a 1949 graduate of Leominster High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he studied agriculture. After college, Warren came home to work on the family farm, where he lived for the rest of his life. He loved farming and was always looking for ways to improve the farm.

Warren loved story-telling and cultural exchange. One of his favorite things was hosting foreign interns at the farm and exchanging stories over the coffee table at 10:00 snack-time. Warren and Bea also loved to travel, and took many trips to Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, and other countries. He enjoyed showing slides and telling stories of his travels.

Warren was a long-time member of the New England Vegetable Growers Association, for which he served as president, and the Horticultural Club of Boston, where he served as treasurer for 11 years.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 11 am in the Congregational Church of Christ, 583 Main Street, Leominster.
