LEOMINSTER---Jacqueline M. (Molloy) Bessette, 91 years old, of Leominster died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge. She is survived by her 4 daughters Claire Johnson (Steve) of Little Compton, RI, Deborah Magnus (Mark) of Uxbridge, Ma, Maureen Seeto (Bill) of North Springfield, VA , and Janet Bessette of Tampa, FL; 5 grandchildren, Heather Magnus (Max), Dr. Katharine Johnson, Dr. Brooke Magnus, Will Johnson (Monica), and Nathan Seeto; and three great grandchildren Isabelle and Aubrey Solie, and Rowan Johnson-Delmartini. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice R. Bessette in 1999.

Jacqueline was born March 1, 1927 in Sanford, Maine, daughter of John and Jane (Forrest) Molloy and had lived in Leominster for 87 years. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1945 and had volunteered for over 1000 hours at Veterans’ Hospitals. “Jackie” was a Teacher’s Aide in the Leominster Public School Dept. for 25 years at Northwest Elementary School. She was also a professional musician, playing piano in the Mellotone’s for many years, as well as an accordionist throughout her life. She also donated her many crocheted afghans to Hospice and Leominster Hospital for many years.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 23rd from 10- 11 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hospice of your choice in Jackie’s memory.
