LEOMINSTER---Richard “Rick” F. Warner passed away June 29, 2018 at home after a brief illness. Rick was born in Leominster on October 3, 1946. He was the son of Leonard R. and Mary A. (Franciosi) Warner. He lived in Leominster all of his life.

Rick graduated from Leominster High School in 1965 where he was captain of the baseball and football teams.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea in 1967-1968.

He went on to graduate from the Leland Powers School of Broadcasting in Boston in 1969.

Rick worked for many years as a construction coordinator for Digital Equipment Corporation and most recently for Del Jen Inc. on Hanscom Air Force Base until his retirement in 2013. Rick was an avid fan of the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. He was an active softball player and played on many slow pitch and fast pitch teams over the years. Most recently he enjoyed playing competitive bocce in Leominster and Rome, NY. Rick loved to travel and has visited more than 70 casinos across the United States. He spent his retirement years traveling with friends to Florida, Las Vegas, California, Oregon and Aruba.

Rick was predeceased by his parents Leonard R. Warner (1973) and Mary A. (Franciosi) Warner (2013). He is survived by his brother, Martin J. Warner of Leominster, nieces and nephews, Scott S. Warner and wife Lisa of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Jennifer A. (Warner) Medina of Leominster and Elaine E. (Warner) Sanfilippo and husband Andrew of Stow, MA as well as extended family Scott and Ida Franklin of Westminster and their children Ashley (Franklin) Schulz and her husband Nick of Bourne MA, Samantha Franklin and Jordan Franklin and great-nieces and nephews, Marianna, Zackary, Julianna, Carlie, Sydney and Clark.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 6, 2018 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St Leominster. Burial will be private.
