LEOMINSTER --- Elizabeth Dunn, better known as Betty, age 78, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on September 12, after a short battle with cancer. Betty was born on September 13, 1939 in Leominster to Paul and Louise Leblanc. She attended St. Cecilia’s Grammar School and St. Bernard’s High School, graduating in 1957. After graduation from high school, she worked as a legal secretary for the Ward, Bird and Donovan Law Firm in Fitchburg. She then worked as a private secretary for William Reagan, CPA. The remainder of her career was spent working at The Housing Authority in Leominster as the tenant coordinator and an administrator beginning in 1984 until she finally retired from this job in 2004.

Betty also enjoyed volunteering her time as a softball coach for the Julie Country Day School in Leominster and was Treasurer of the PTA. She was also very active at the Holy Family of Nazareth Church as a CCD teacher for Elementary and High School students.

In her free time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching sports, especially football, and going out for walks. She also had very fond memories of her many family trips to Hampton Beach over the years.

Betty leaves her husband of 58 years, David Dunn, a daughter Sherry Dunn of Gardner MA. and a granddaughter Amber Dunn of Gardner MA as well as a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Marge Dunn of Glastonbury, CT and many nieces and nephews.
