Adeline Dawn (nee Rines) Spingla, ‘Dawn’, age 93, of Leominster, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 2, 2026. Born at the dawn of a beautiful day, May 9, 1932, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she lived a full life and was known for her love of family, joy of meeting and learning about new people, and appreciation of the finer things in life, particularly a fine pair of shoes and dinner at a nice restaurant with a perfect manhattan.
Dawn often reminisced about her work at Loring's Studio in Fitchburg, but it was when she took a job at the Broadway Cafe, soon to become The Tankard, in Leominster, that she met the love of her life Angelo Spingla, with whom she would spend her happiest 38 years. After Angelo’s passing, she was blessed to have Kieth Lauer enter her life; they were loyal companions up until Keith’s passing.
The most important aspect of Dawn’s life was her family, she is survived by her daughter Dawn E. (Rines) Garretson of Fitchburg, son Chip Taylor and his wife Jill Taylor of Derry, NH, daughter Jennifer G. Spingla and her partner Alia Kusmaul of Ashburnham, her granddaughters Heather J. LeShane of Princeton, Dr. Sara Driscoll of Duxbury, Corrine Taylor-Davis of Oklahoma City, OK and Amy Ramos of Fitchburg, her grandsons Benjamin Taylor of Wilmot, NH, and Wynn Taylor Jr., many nieces including Dr. Kimberly Watson-Ebb, Ronda Lussier and Holly Pajari, many other deeply loved family members too numerous to name, and her beloved cat Pretty Girl.
Dawn was predeceased by her husband Angelo A. Spingla, son Wynn E. Taylor, sisters Gail R. Watson, Naomi Pajari, and Ellen Grace Wirtanen and brothers Earl Mark Rines, Jr., and Mansfield Joseph Rines.
At Dawn’s request viewing hours will be private, but in her memory please raise a toast of your favorite beverage, hum a few lines of your favorite song, and tell someone you care about that you love them very much.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
