Allice May Anderson (Hanscom, Bishop, Healey), 92, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. She was born on November 21, 1932, in Caribou, Maine, to the late Ernest Jerome and Pauline Elizabeth (Hobbs).
A proud graduate of Freeport High School’s Class of 1951, Allice continued her education for several years at colleges in both Maine and Utah before dedicating herself to her most cherished role as a homemaker.
Allice lovingly raised her children, four of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Bishop of Vernon, Connecticut, and Kelly’s three daughters. Allice also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on her memory with love and gratitude.
A talented seamstress, Allice took great joy in sewing—carefully crafting quilts and charming keepsakes that reflected her creativity and warmth. Later in life, she developed a deep passion for genealogy, eagerly tracing her family’s roots and uncovering the stories that shaped their history.
A devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Allice was deeply committed to her faith and her church community. She spent countless hours in service and fellowship, embodying the compassion and dedication that defined her life.
Allice May Anderson will be dearly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Details regarding the date and time will be announced at a later date.
