Anita Irene (Rouleau) Gagne
March 18,1930 to January 15, 2022
Anita passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. Born to Leon and Cecile (Dufault) Rouleau in Fitchburg,1930.
She was married to her beloved husband, Joseph Gagne, until the day before their 70th wedding anniversary, when he departed this world on June 4th, 2018. It all began at the Whalom roller skating rink, where they met and he skated his way into her heart. They built a life together and spent their entire married life in Leominster. Anita grew up in Fitchburg and attended Fitchburg schools. She was a stitcher at Comfort Slipper for years as well as a Real Estate agent, but she considered her most important work was being a dedicated wife, tireless homemaker and outstanding mother.
Anita is survived by her four children Cynthia Kelley and her husband Kenneth, Christopher Gagne, Pamela Bishop and her partner Robert Spinosa, Stacey Brassard and her husband Michael Brassard. She leaves behind six grandchildren Darcie Jamison, Adam and Michael Bishop, Brittany, Drew and Troy Brassard. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Sophie and Seth Jamison, Jr., Levi Brassard and Theo Brassard-Niemi.
Anita is also survived by her three brothers Roland, Donald, and Philip Rouleau and sister Joyce Cote. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her brothers Gerald, Norman, and Emery Rouleau, sister Theresa Caravella, and son-in-law Stephen Bishop. She will be dearly missed.
The funeral will be held Thursday, January 20, at 11:00 A.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. Burial is private.
