Anne L. (Sweeney) Thomas

LEOMINSTER --- Anne L. (Sweeney) Thomas, 82 years old, of Leominster, died Friday July 22,2022 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boston.

Anne was born October 15,1939 in Fitchburg MA, the daughter of David J. and Marion (Kenny) Sweeney and came to Leominster MA, many years ago. She leaves her son, Michael J. Roberts and his wife Anita of Leominster, her grandson Michael J. Roberts II, and his Fiancé Jess, great grandchildren, Caleb, Jordan, Ethan, Jacob and Riley, her brothers, David Sweeney, and Steven Reynolds, sisters, Sandra Currie and Barbara Weilbrenner, many nieces & nephews, special friends, Sonny & Sandy Butler and her dog Bella.

She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Thomas C. Thomas, in 2000, by her parents, David & Marion Sweeney, her brother James B. Reynolds, her stepmother, Gladys Sweeney, her nephew Jeff Reynolds, and by her grandson Nathan P. Roberts.

Anne was a member of St. Leo Church in Leominster. She loved spending time with friends & family at the beach & Cape Cod and going to the casinos. She was very caring and compassionate with her family & friends, often taking in children as foster kids.

Anne`s Funeral will be held on Monday, August 1,2022 from the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster with a funeral mass at 11am in St. Leo Church,128 Main St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, July 31,2022 from 4~7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention, 160 Gould St. Suite 130, Needham MA. 02494.
