Anne Catherine (Ward) Wentzell

Anne Catherine (Ward) Wentzell passed away on January 18, 2026 after fighting a long illness.

She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Ronald Wentzell, her siblings Pat Barbour, Joan Kopley, Barbara Tabora, Mary Olson, Charlotte Ward, Deborah Ladas, Chris Ward, and many nieces and nephews. Catherine is predeceased by her father, Joseph D. Ward, and her mother, Priscilla (Lufkin) Ward, as well as her beloved sister, Megan Ward Myers.

Catherine enjoyed a very successful banking career, retiring as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending and Loan Administration at the former Safety Fund Bank. In her retirement, Catherine was able to pursue her passions for painting and gardening.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers for the exceptional care Catherine received. She was a wonderful and kind woman and she will be greatly missed.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Burial will be private and at a later date.
