Annette M. (Ducharme) Nutting

Annette M. (Ducharme) Nutting, 97, lifelong resident of Leominster, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2021 at Life Care Center of Leominster.

Annette was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Raymond O. Nutting, her daughter Marcia A. (Nutting) Hamel, her son Thomas E. Nutting, and most recently her younger brother, at age 94, Richard “Duke” Ducharme; all in the local area of Leominster, Fitchburg, and Westminster, respectively.  She leaves behind her eldest son Barry Nutting and wife Barbara of NH, and youngest daughter Beverly (Nutting) Quiles and husband Miguel of Leominster, and her daughter in law, Joanne Nutting, widow of Thomas Nutting. Annette is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Annette loved baking and worked for many years in the cafeterias throughout the Leominster public school system. Her passion was singing, and she shared her beautiful voice with the Choir at Our Lady of the Lake Church for many, many years. Annette was also quite a talented seamstress, often sewing while singing along with the radio. During her retirement, Annette spent quiet times reading. Her presence was well known at the Leominster Public Library where she often read several novels each month. She always kept herself busy, unless of course, the Red Sox were playing. That’s the only time she sat still.

A funeral Mass is planned for Saturday, October 16th at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster at 10:00 a.m. with burial immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery in Leominster.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the American Cancer Society @ cancer.org or the fund to cure Alzheimer’s @ curealz.org. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
