Antoinette Gasbarro Obituary

Antoinette “Netta” (Dondero) Gasbarro born July 7, 1936, passed on January 20th, 2023 after a brief illness surrounded by her family in her retirement home of 30 years, in Bonita Springs Florida.

She was a lifelong resident of Leominster, Massachusetts and was married for 68 years to the love of her life, Francis “Fran” Gasbarro. They had four children, Michael and wife Debra (Tourigny) of Leominster, Mark and wife Marie-Eve (Quimper) of Boston, MA, Maryann and husband Martin Bradford of Leominster and Melissa and husband Glenn Christy of Lynn, MA. Netta also leaves her brother Richard Dondero of Leominster, brother-in-law Anthony and wife Michelle Gasbarro of Moultonborough, NH and sister-in-law Clelia and husband Bill MacKay of Salem, MA; 9 grandchildren, Erica Grinkis, Jason Gasbarro, Victoria and Amanda Swaney, Geno and Carlo Gasbarro, Briana (Bradford) Rocheleau, Christopher Bradford and Matthew Crisci as well as 8 great grandchildren, several beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is pre-deceased by her two brothers, Louis and Terry Dondero, sister-in-law, Elaine Dondero, and granddaughter Lauren Christy.

Her career began at Victory Markets when she was a young wife training and running the front end of the stores. She and her husband then began their own business, F&M Tool and Die and enjoyed many years as an employer in Leominster. She was instrumental to support the administrative activities to help create a successful business venture.

Netta could always be found at all her children and grandchildren’s activities. She was a fabulous cook and gracious host to all. She loved the game of golf and had several holes-in-one and multiple club champion honors. She began her golfing career at Monoosnock Country Club in Leominster as well as Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg and her retirement years at Worthington Country Club in Bonita Springs, Florida. She had many friends and mentored so many on the course. She loved to share her talents with others. Later in life she displayed her love of painting and demonstrated to be a talented artist. She and her husband were exceptional dancers and could stop a crowd on any dancefloor, even as recently as this past December.

She was a one of kind lady with a quick wit and a beautiful soul. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
