LEOMINSTER---Archie N. Lefebvre, Jr. 82 years old, of Leominster, MA and Rangeley, ME, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME following a brief illness.

Archie leaves his wife of 22 years Patricia (Burke) Aubuchon Lefebvre, three sons Mark Lefebvre and his wife Vivian of Hampton, NH, Michael Lefebvre and his fiancée Kim Spencer-Bisbee of Baldwinville and Anthony Lefebvre and his wife Donna of Leominster, three stepchildren Patrick Aubuchon, Jacqueline Aubuchon and her companion Graham Homewood and Matthew Aubuchon and his wife Kimberly all of Leominster, nine grandchildren Michael, Cynthia, Danielle, Joseph, Selena, and Billy Lefebvre, Carter, Patrick and Chase Aubuchon. Also survived by two sisters Theresa Baum and her husband Donald of Pennsylvania and Constance Swisher of South Carolina, a brother Eugene Lefebvre and his wife Alice of Florida, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Cynthia (Lanciani) Lefebvre in 1990 and his son William E. Lefebvre in 1979.

Archie was born April 16, 1934 in Sterling, son of Archie N. and Marie (Beauchene) Lefebvre, Sr. He graduated from St. John’s High School in Worcester and was a standout player on the football team. He was named to the All-City Football Team in Worcester. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a 27 ½ year veteran of the Leominster Fire Department. During his career, he served as Vice President of the Leominster Firefighters Relief Association, was the driver of Engine 2 and was the department mechanic, before retiring in 1989. He had also owned and operated Archie’s Shell Station on Lancaster Street in Leominster.

Archie was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman and pioneer of new trails on his ATV in his beloved Rangeley. He will be sorely missed by family and friends for miles around for his kind and generous nature.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the William E Lefebvre Scholarship Fund, c/o LEFCU, 24 Church Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
