Arlene Logan Obituary

Arlene T (Mullan) Logan, 95 years old, of Leominster, MA, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Benchmark Leominster Crossing Senior Living Center. Arlene was born March 3, 1928, to John and Agnes ( Hurtubise ) Mullan. She was married to John (Jack) Anderson Logan for 68 years. Jack passed away seven years ago and they now will have the opportunity to be reunited.

Arlene leaves six children: John Logan of Center Lovell, ME, James Logan of Manchester, VT, William Logan of Norton, VT, Kathleen Martin of Orford, NH and son-in-law Terry, Linda Widner of Charleston, SC and Bethann Fatcheric and son-in-law Tim of Princeton, MA. Her son, Jeffrey Logan predeceased her. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Timothy Martin, Megan Vile, Jessica Roberts, Hannah Widner, Andrew Fatcheric, Heather Joyce, Ethan Fatcheric, Brittney Kenney, and Aidan Logan. Arlene also had nine great-grandchildren. Arlene also leaves her brother, Bernard Mullan of Leominster. She was predeceased by her other siblings: Edward Mullan, John Mullan, Rita Deady, Gerry Colcord, Patricia Harrington, and Lorraine Lolli.

Arlene was an avid New England sports fan and rarely missed a Patriots or Celtics game on TV; she scheduled her day around the sports. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren compete in school sports and other activities. She also loved to bake; her well -traveled children never found a better apple pie than Arlene’s! Sharp and full of caring, she kept track of every family member, their activities and their accomplishments, and could recite them in great detail until the end. Gracious and loving were adjectives always fitting Arlene. She also played a wicked good game of scrabble, seldom defeated.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Leominster Crossing for the outstanding care and compassion given to Arlene. Additionally, Notre Dame Hospice provided excellent support, care, and compassion throughout this journey.
