Arthur W. Davis, Jr.

LUNENBURG----Arthur W. Davis, Jr., 77, passed away peacefully from a long battle with lung cancer on Friday morning at HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was born in North Anson, Maine on July 7, 1940 to the late Arthur, Sr. and Blanche (LaPrade) Davis of Fitchburg. He was predeceased by 3 brothers Vincent Davis of Maine, Winfield Davis of New Hampshire and Blaine Davis of California.

He worked at Miles Kedex in Leominster in Maintenance for 45 years and that is where he met his wife of 55 years Barbara (Munro) Davis.

He is survived by Barbara of Lunenburg, his son Arthur, III of Leominster, his daughter Shelly and her husband James Nadeau of Leominster and his youngest daughter Pamela Davis of Fitchburg. He leaves 4 beautiful grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Arthur loved to hunt and fish in his younger years and loved going to see his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a quiet man with a great love of his family.

A Celebration of Arthur’s Life for those who would like to pay their respects to the family will be held on Wednesday, July 12^th from 4-9 pm at Monoosnock Country Club, 40 Monoosnock Ave. off Route 13 in Leominster. Burial will be private in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
