Barbara A. (Day) Wheeler

LEOMINSTER--- Barbara A. (Day) Wheeler, 87 years old of Leominster, died Friday December 18, 2015 in River Terrace Nursing Home in Lancaster.

Barbara was born June 27, 1928 in Bolton. daughter of Charles and Lucy (Giddings) Day. She lived many years in Bolton and Lunenburg. She leaves her two sons, Richard Wheeler and his wife Susan of Leominster, and Scott Wheeler and his wife Vivian of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, four grandchildren, Jason Wheeler, Kristin Peterson and her husband Jim, Alicia Wheeler and Marissa Wheeler, two great grandchildren, Makenna and Dylan Peterson, several nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Richard A. Wheeler in 1987, and by two brothers, Charles and William Day, and two sisters, Helen Deware and Marjorie Lenkiewicz.

Barbara worked at Bolton Orchards, and was a pre-school lunch preparer for the Department of the Army at the former Fort Devens.

Funeral services and burial in South Cemetery in Bolton are private. There are no calling hours. Donations in Barbara’s name can be made to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
