Bernard J Mullahy Jr., known as Barney by his friends and family, passed away on May 8th at the age of 70. Barney was a lifelong resident of Leominster and a graduate of the LHS class of 1974. He went on to earn an associate’s degree in engineering from Worcester Junior College, and graduated from Sylvania Technical School. Barney was a technical specialist for a number of technology companies including Data General, Nortel Networks, Crescent Networks, and Oracle/ACME Packet.
Barney loved tracing his family's Irish roots and taking his dog for walks. He will be remembered for his devotion to his dog Brady and his many nieces/nephews and grand nieces/nephews. He was never one to miss a family holiday or birthday celebration, and he will be greatly missed by all.
Barney is survived by his beloved dog Brady and his siblings Ruth (Donny) Frizzell, Kathy Loiselle, Brian (Mary) Mullahy, Barbara (Kevin) Morrissey, Mary Mullahy, Jane (Scott) DeBenedictis, his sister in-law Melinda Mullahy, his god daughter Kathleen Robbins, and his many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Bernard Mullahy Sr., and his brother William.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 12 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St, Leominster with a service at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at St. Leo’s Cemetery.
