Brian Lachapelle passed away on Thursday, February 27th, surrounded by family after battling complications from chronic respiratory illness.
Brian was born and raised in Leominster. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and kept us all on our toes with his sarcastic sense of humor and quick wit. He was known as a voracious reader who loved a good story whether in a book or on screen. A friend shared that “what was so appealing about him was the chance to create another story.”
He is survived by his sons Daniel (spouse Sarah) and Christopher (fiancé Cate), his daughter Lisa (partner Lee) and their mother, Catherine. He also leaves behind brothers Kevin Paradis (spouse Nancy) of Leominster MA, and Neil Lachapelle (spouse Olga) of Whittier CA, his nephew and best friend Jamie, and many loving friends and extended family. Brian was predeceased by his parents Francis and Joan (Flannagan) Lachapelle, brother A. James Paradis, brother Keith Lachapelle, and sister Lisa Lachapelle.
We thank the doctors and nursing staff of the HealthAlliance CCU for the care and compassion they showed Brian in his final days.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 16th from 1-4pm at the Franco American Club, 300 Water St, Leominster, MA 01453. In lieu of flowers the family encourages anyone that wishes to make a donation in Brian’s name to the American Lung Association.
