Carmine W. Tata, 77, of Leominster, passed away Sunday, May 15, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Carmine was born on October 5, 1944, in Leominster, and was the youngest son of Constantino and Irene (DiMarzio) Tata, and was a lifelong resident of Leominster and attended Leominster High School. Carmine is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda (Fiffy) Tata; son Scot Tata of Bellingham and sons Steven and Derek; daughter Debra Tata of West Boylston and son Lukas; son Shane Tata and wife Christy of Fitchburg and daughters Ashley, Alyssa, and Lindsey; daughter Jennifer Tata of Leominster and Kenny Cloutier, son Joseph, and daughters Mya and Trista. He is also survived by sister Dorothy Comeau, predeceased by her husband, Emile, brother Dino Tata and wife Judith, and sister Carol Skiest and husband Gene.
Carmine worked for many years as a Quality Assurance Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation, and retired from Alpha Gary in 2011. He was a lifelong New York Yankees and Giants fan. He took great pride in his home, and working around his yard. He also enjoyed coaching Little League, history, fishing, swimming, and playing pool.
Carmine`s funeral will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster, with a funeral mass at 9am at St. Anna Parish, 199 Lancaster St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 4-7pm.
Carmine was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His family meant the world to him. The family would like to thank everyone who contributed to his healthcare for their kindness and compassion.
