Carol A (Bergman) Carchidi It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol A. (Bergman) Carchidi, 87, on July 18, 2026, at Alliance Health at Baldwinville.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Victor A. Bergman and Anna (Enfors) Bergman; her husband, Dominic Carchidi; her brothers, Richard Bergman (Ruth) and William Bergman (Ruth); and her stepdaughter Nancy Carchidi.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Brooks and Laurie Ricciardi of Jacksonville, FL and her son Alan Brooks and Alicia Pike O’Neill of Gardner, MA; her stepdaughters, Donna Courtemanche (Mickey) of Athens, ME and Lisa Thomann (Peter) of Phillipston, MA; her grandchildren, Sarah and Zachary Brooks, Niki Pendleton (David), Jason (Erin), Billy and Marc Courtemanche, and Mitchell Thomann; as well as several loving nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Carol was born in Leominster and lived there most of her life. She graduated from Leominster High School with the Class of 1956 and worked at Dental Associates in Leominster from high school until her retirement, serving the practices of Dr. Gefen and Dr. Khan. In retirement, she also worked as a school crossing guard until age 80 and loved reading to the schoolchildren.
Carol loved traveling with Dom, and Italy, Alaska, and the Caribbean were among her favorite destinations. She enjoyed bike rides, walks outside, and New England sports—especially the Red Sox. She also became a Jaguars fan in the late 1990s and attended several games in Jacksonville. Most of all, Carol was happiest when surrounded by family at meals and gatherings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful teams at Alliance Health at Baldwinville and Brookhaven Hospice. In memory of Carol, memorial contributions can be made to Boston Children's Hospital.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster, with a service immediately following at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Leominster.
