Catherine “Cathy” Torcoletti, of Weymouth MA passed away on November 30th, 2024 after a two year dance with pancreatic cancer. She was born and raised in Leominster, MA., daughter of Mildred (O’Brien) and Elio Torcoletti. She attended Leominster schools such as Saint Leo’s, Carter Junior High and Leominster High. Cathy worked for a few places, such as Leominster Hospital (with her mom), and also Selig Manufacturers, before she settled on a 40-year career with Cambridge Packing in Boston.
Cathy was an enthusiast of many things: she loved Ken Burns documentaries, she knew her 60’s and 70’s music, she was a great sports fan, especially of her New England Patriots (even post-Brady), and equally, of gymnastics, which she followed and understood like a true devotee.
Cathy loved her family; her parents and brothers, her aunts and uncles, her niece and nephew and their children, and the many cousins and eventually the next generation and beyond. Dogs loved her beyond reason, and she reciprocated; if she had a tail, it would always be wagging at her canine friends.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents Millie and Elio, and is survived by her brothers and their wives; Edward and Nancy Torcoletti of Leominster, MA, and David Torcoletti and Moira Kelly of Norwell, MA. She also loved and was survived by her niece Gina (Torcoletti) Ward and her husband Danny, and Deric Long, and his wife Ashly, her Uncle Robert Torcoletti and numerous cousins with whom she shared a warm, boisterous upbringing.
The family would like to thank The Palliative Care team at South Shore Hospital, and the compassionate, talented nurses and staff of Pratt 4 North.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be given to MSPCA (or other animal rescue organization) in Cathy’s name.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 6 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
