Obituary

Christopher Paul Brassard, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his tragic and senseless death at only 45 years old.

Chris was born on August 4, 1977, in Fitchburg to Paul and Debra (Souther) Brassard, but resided most of his life in Leominster, MA. Chris was a 1995 graduate of Leominster High School Center for Technical Education where he focused on the automotive mechanics program.

After high school, Chris worked in many different trades throughout his life that included roofing, manufacturing, fabrication, animal care, pest control, and building maintenance. In 2012, he married Anique Harper and through her job in the United States Air Force, the two traveled to Virginia, South Korea and Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon their separation in 2015, Chris and his Boston terrier sidekick, Neely decided to remain in Las Vegas.

Chris enjoyed anything sports related and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed rock music, live concerts, verbal jousting with friends and family, and throwing back a cold beer or two on a hot day. Always a kid at heart, he was affectionately known as, “Uncle Chris” and a human jungle gym for his friends’ children.

Chris especially will be remembered for his laugh and his positive personality that uplifted everyone around him. Chris’ light was taken too soon, he was immensely loved by all and will be missed forever.

Chris is survived by his parents Paul and Debra (Souther) Brassard, and his sister Ashley (Brassard) and her husband Robert Cawley. Chris is also survived by his former wife, Anique Harper and his beloved best friend Neely. He will forever be remembered by his surviving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Phyllis (Barnard) Souther, and Paul and Jeanette (Fortin) Brassard. Also, aunts, Sharon Souther and Janet Brassard, Uncle Kevin Trainor, as well as cousins, Adam Brassard and Seth Jamsa.
