Claire Evelyn Hetchell Roiko, 90 years old, passed away on January 27, 2023 at the Highlands in Fitchburg.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Charles Roiko, in 2002.
Claire was born in Leominster on September 10, 1932 and graduated from Leominster High in 1953. She lived in Leominster on Union Street until moving to North Leominster in 1968. Claire worked at Cluet Peabody Shirt Company, she also worked at Keystone Nursing Home, but mostly she was a loving home care provider to her family. Claire loved the Lord and was a born again Christian and long-time member of the former Assembly of God, now New Life Church.
She loved to knit, visit her friends, go shopping and bake her famous oatmeal cookies. Most of all her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She leaves her four children, Wendy Tata, son-in-law Michael Tata, David Roiko, daughter-in-law Linda Roiko, Heidi Capone, son-in-law Mark Capone, April Kimball, son-in-law James Kimball. Her grandchildren Caresia and Cameron Capone and great grandson Gavin.
Claire’s Family would like to thank the staff of the Highlands for the excellent care given to their Mother.
Funeral Services will be held at the New Life Church, 834 Main St. Leominster at 11am on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
