David Charles Macdonald, 71 years old, of Fitchburg, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his home. He was born on December 20, 1954 and was the son of the late Robert D. Macdonald and Beverly M. (Wiles) Macdonald.
He is survived by his siblings: Alan and Ardith Macdonald of Leominster; Janice and Raymond Brooks of Leominster; and Stacey Jean Keyes of Bellows Falls, VT and sister-in law, Connie Broughton of Leland, NC; nephews and nieces: Wiles Chiasson, of Poughquag, NY; Megan and Michael Davitt of Newburyport, MA; Ross and Alicia Macdonald of Hubbardston, MA; and Jason Macdonald and Emma Palazzo of Leominster; great nieces and nephews: Kaden Chiasson, Alexandra Chiasson, Elsie Macdonald, Sophia Macdonald, Abbey Macdonald and Calum Macdonald. He leaves his close friends, Janet and Eddie of Fitchburg. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Eugenia (Olsen) Macdonald, his brother, Kenneth Macdonald and his sister, Donna Macdonald.
David graduated from Leominster High School and received his dental technology certificate from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School and worked for the Macdonald Dental Lab in Leominster. He was a craftsman and loved the Beatles, classic rock and roll and lived a simple life. He was generous, compassionate, thankful and appreciative. He accepted the Lord as his Savior and was baptized on April 3, 1969 and through the years read his bible and was looking forward to eternity in heaven.
The family express their thankfulness and appreciation to the many caretakers that watched over David through the years. His life was blessed by them.
