Denbigh Hernandez Obituary

Denbigh T. Hernandez, 88, of Leominster, MA passed away on Saturday, December 19th after living a wonderful life. Longtime resident of Lancaster, he lived the last few years in Leominster. He leaves behind the love of his life of 58 years, Ruby M. (Malcolm) and his children Evelyn (Lenton), Karl (Michele), Karen, Kathleen (Levon) and nine grandchildren - Lenton, Joshua (Jess), Tamika, Lucretia, Justin (Natalie), Lenroy, Javin, Michaela, and TJ and 4 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Aurora Bonilla, as well as numerous family and friends.

Denbigh, born in Dangriga, Belize, July 6, migrated to Jamaica for school (West Indies College) where he met his girl - Ruby.  He moved to the U.S. to further his education. Denbigh and Ruby reconnected in the U.S. and married in July 1962.  Denbigh graduated from Atlantic Union College and worked at Worcester Memorial Hospital for his entire career as a Phlebotomist.

Denbigh welcomed everyone with open arms and a warm heart. He was a helper to all who asked anything of him, making himself available to any and everyone.   He enjoyed being outside, wood crafts, as well as being around his family and many friends.  His cheerful smile was a blessing and will be treasured and greatly missed.

A memorial service will be planned for a later time and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Denbigh T.
