Dennis A. Marcello, 79, a lifelong resident of Leominster, passed away peacefully at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester on August 14, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 1, 1946 the oldest son of Guido and Ellen (MacMillan) Marcello. He leaves his wife of 46 years Jane (Cormier) Marcello.
Dennis is survived by his children, Michael, Marcello-Patton and husband Jason, Tammy (Marcello) Mickey, Victoria, Garmonia, and wife, Lisa, and Randall Chew and wife, Christe, Thomas Marcello, James Marcello and Laura Hamilton. He had seven grandchildren and a great grandson Jilliana, Kagan, Adilys, Emma, Octavia, Mackagan, Brendan and great grandson Caleb.
He leaves behind his sister, Patricia Posco and brothers Larry Marcello (Bertha) and Robert Marcello. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Deborah Lowe and Patricia Lapoet (William) a father-in-law several brothers-in-law, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister Joanne Therrien, a grandson, aunts, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law, his mother and father-in-law Allene and Ernest Leger. Dennis lived his entire life in Leominster. He attended Leominster Public Schools. He worked at Star Container as a forklift driver, for 31 years. He traveled with his wife Jane to beaches in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Florida, and Maine and camped with his family in his pop-up camper for many years. He had many friends where he worked and where he lived. He was very much loved by everyone he came in contact with. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and was a great influence in their lives.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 29 in the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M.
