Diana Gove Obituary

Diana Marie Gove, a beloved mother, daughter, and the world's gentlest comedian, took her final curtain call on October 8, 2024, at the age of 41. Born on March 15, 1983, in the quaint city of Fitchburg, MA, Diana's laughter-filled journey came to a peaceful end in Leominster, MA, with her family by her side. She was known for her selfless nature, a heart as big as her sense of humor, and her uncanny ability to find the funny in the mundane.

Diana leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Her daughter, Laila L. Gove-Michaud, and Laila's partner, Cameron Whitney, will miss her impromptu comedy routines and unwavering support. Ashley Renaud, her stepdaughter, will fondly remember Diana's gentle guidance and the shared giggles that brightened their days. Although her partnership with Albert Michaud changed over the years, the friendship and laughter they shared remained a constant. Diana's soulmate, Koda, her loyal service dog, will surely be waiting to reunite with her at the rainbow bridge, tail wagging and ready for their next adventure.

She was preceded in passing by her mother Brenda S. Gove and father George Juliano, As well as cousins Jamie Hayes and Adam Butterfield all of whom instilled in her the strength and humor that defined her life. Her godfather, Bruce Gove, along with her godmother, Cindy Duval, and Cindy's husband, Ronald Duval, provided a foundation of love and support that Diana carried with her always. Diana's extended family, including her Aunt Darlene Hayes, Darlene's Husband, James Hayes, cousin and "sidekick" Keri Reynolds, cousin Amy Richard, and nieces Abby Brisebois and Anna Duval, will hold dear the countless memories of her infectious laughter and the warmth of her presence.

Despite leaving formal education after achieving her GED in 2003, Diana was a lifelong student of the human spirit. Her work at Seven Hills, Groton, as a PCA, and her time caring for her mother during illness, showcased her dedication to helping others. Diana's selflessness was only matched by her wit, often leaving those she cared for not just healthier, but happier.

Diana's zest for life was evident in her eclectic interests, which ranged from music that could make her heart sing to yard work that could make her back ache. She had a passion for true crime stories, often tuning into "Murder With My Husband", "Stephanie Soo", and "Street Smarts Podcast". Her love for cosmetology was evident; she believed a good hair day could turn any frown upside down.

In the spirit of Diana's love for a good laugh, let's recall a quote from the inimitable Robin Williams, who once said, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.".

Diana's gentle spirit and selfless love will be deeply missed, but her ability to make life a little lighter for everyone she met will never be forgotten. Her comedic timing, her tender care for others, and her joyous embrace of life's absurdities have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

As we say goodbye to Diana Marie Gove, let us remember her not with sadness but with the smiles she so generously gave. In her honor, let's all find a reason to laugh today—and every day thereafter. We would also like to thank all the people who have made it possible for Diana to have the services that she deserves and cannot express how grateful we all are.
