Donald M. Creed

LEOMINSTER--- Donald M. Creed, 66 years old, of Leominster, died peacefully Wednesday, June 29,2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Don was born September 20, 1955, in Leominster, MA the son of Milton H. and Lillian E. (Cameron) Creed and was a lifelong resident. Don is survived by his son Daniel J. Creed of Leominster, his 2 daughters, Kelly A. Creed and Katelyn A. Creed both of Leominster, his sister Barbara J. LeBlanc and her husband Kenneth J. LeBlanc of Ashby, his niece Sarah Elizabeth LeBlanc, and his nephew Kenneth J. LeBlanc Jr. He also leaves his girlfriend Lisa Berthiaume.

Don graduated from Leominster High School in 1973 and began his career with the City of Leominster on December 11,1977 and would eventually be assigned to the Wire Department to assist Mr. William Bergman on January 1, 1980. He was appointed to the Fire Department on July 25, 1983. He spent the later years of his tenure as Engine 2 driver, where he retired on February 21, 2010, after more than 32 years with the City. His proudest moment came when he aided in the delivery of a baby in the kitchen of a French Hill apartment in 1987.

Don could be found working on his properties year-round. He was a jack of all trades, a carpenter, Licensed Electrician, landlord, and long-time care giver to multiple family members. He had a true passion for and took great pride in maintaining and restoring his properties. He enjoyed spending summers relaxing in the pool, and vacationing in Maine. He was a member of the Leominster Lodge of Elks, and the Hose 4 Association. He will be remembered as a hard-working, strong, loyal, and loving family man.

Don`s funeral will be held on Friday, July 8,2022 from the Richardson Funeral 106 West St. Leominster, with a funeral mass at 12 noon in St. Leo Church, 128 Main St. Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 5-7pm.
