Donald Tucker, of Leominster, passed away suddenly early Sunday, January 02, 2022.
Donald will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 44 years, Lu; his daughter, Tia (Tucker) Ames of South Easton, his sons, Michael Tucker of Fitchburg, and Eric Tucker of Lunenburg; his mother, Pearl (Beauregard) Tucker of Groton; his sister, Cathy White of Fitchburg, and four brothers, Tom Tucker of Marlborough, Dick Tucker of Leominster, Jack Tucker of Leominster, and Dave Tucker of Leominster; his grandchildren Hailey and Kathryn; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth W. Tucker, brother, Kenneth R. Tucker, and his sister Barbara (Tucker) Kendall.
Donald was born in Fitchburg on October 23, 1952. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1971 where he was a talented athlete, particularly at football. He attended Mount Wachusett Community College and UMass Amherst. He worked as a mechanic and then as an Automotive Collision Repair Instructor since 1996.
Donald was a dedicated husband and father, treasuring his time spent with his family and always putting them before himself. He was a creative soul. This could be seen through his projects such as the Cadillac bursting through the wall at the high school, the scrap metal motorcycle sculpture he made for the Leominster Art Association, and the owl wall display that hung at his mother’s home for decades.
Calling hours will be held at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
